A day in Leeuwarden Holland

Well its Saturday and our project lead needed today off so I headed out into the Dutch countryside. After driving over a 30km dike freeway (really wild) I set my sights on the small old town of Leeuwarden in Friesland, Northern Holland. A beautiful old town with perdestrianized shopping areas complete with canals. Tons of shopping and bars and restaurants. The coffee is fantastic. And of course so is the beer. Didn’t buy anything due to the fact I now live out of a backpack. Wendy has successfully rented out ourĀ Vancouver condo so we are truly “on the road”. Wendy arrives on Wednesday this week so I need to find some good spots to show her. She has never been to Holland and these little town will be fun to explore with her. Bye for now.

How sweet that you’re checking out the good spots to explore with Wendy. She and I had a bit of a bon voyage last Friday and I hope to see her again before she takes off tomorrow. How exciting. See you guys at Christmas.
